Managed a lovely ride north of Oxford and the Northants border but bloody freezing, legs started to go numb and the finger tips felt like they were about to drop off, had a welcomed cuppa and headed back. All in all it was worth it.
He might be trying to tell you something Emm
Like when am I going to get a ride in this damn thing
I moved the CBR this morning
Out of the kitchen, then moved it back in again tonight
I think thats the furthest its travelled since I've owned it
Must get the head bearings swapped and forks rebuilt
Then make a start on the electrics
By that time I might have a new ignition switch that fits
A VERY cold ride into work and back today, even with heated grips, hand guards and winter gloves when i got into work at 8am my hands were so bloody cold and could hardly unfasten my helmet, not good!
Rode to work at 3.30 pm just a light dusting of snow.
Rode home from work at 5 past Midnite, to say the ride home was interesting would be an understatement, about 1-2 inches of snow on the roads now, not that cold but quite slippery.
Notable by there absence was the greater yellow gritter lorry, a very endangered species down here in East Sussex, rarely to be seen leaving there hidey holes, catching a glimpse of one is a sight to behold.
Dave vm there endangered in the mids aswell all day yesterday I caught sight of 1 in coventry but by the time I tryed to get a picture but I was not quick enough
I'm not surprised you were'nt fast enough jp, cos on the rare occasions they do emerge they are extremely anxious to get back to there hidey holes as quick as possible.
Never give up hope though you may be lucky one day and get that elusive picture.
Dave and JP - you think that's bad. They're apparently extinct in Holland. Went over there on Tuesday, not a single gritter in sight nor was there any grit on the roads. Coming back home at about 6 we were doing 15mph along the motorway for about 20miles!!!
