FSX, a flattened beer or drinks can will make an adequate side stand plate for use on grass. Alternatively, you can always get a plastic stand plate from most bike shops.

I've lost god-knows how many plastic stand plates I keep riding off and leaving them, so now-a-days I go with the old ways the beer can

The problem with beer cans V-Rod is that most people do not usually have one to hand when first arriving at a Rally.

I have drilled a hole in my plastic one and looped a length of string through the hole so that it goes over the left handlebar grip. When ready to leave it allows you to sit on the bike, raise it upright, kick up the sidestand and then use the string to pick up the puck.

Enough practice lets you actually locate it under the stand when you arrive so that a fully loaded bike can be dismounted without it falling over when there is no-one else around to help you.

Ooops got sidetracked by the sidestand puck comments above.

What I actually meant to do was post the following:-

We keep being asked by folk about how they get their tickets for the rally so bear with me whilst I state it yet again.

TICKETS & CLOTHING FOR THE KISS RALLY
WILL NOT BE POSTED OUT

YOU WILL RECEIVE A WRISTBAND
(& CLOTHING IF YOU HAVE ORDERED ANY)
FROM THE REGISTRATION TENT
UPON YOUR ARRIVAL AT THE RALLY

Scorpio54 beat me to it. My sidestanb puck lives in my tank pocket. It's attached to one of those curly flourescent springs usually used with a disc lock. When ready to move off it flies up into my hand!

Can I just point out the field is used for livestock so NO CANS can be left on the field and NO BOTTLES OR GLASS WILL BE PERMITTED in THE CAMPING AREA . This is not debatable any one ignoring this will be asked to leave

I like to park next to my tent, then I can use the bike power socket to inflate my airbed and charge my phone. :-)

I can remember the days of camping at rallies when you had those rolled foam mats to lay under your sleeping bags for comfort. Is it a sign of growing old or soft that we are now talking about air beds in our tents?
