Albatross was writen by Peter green. Played by the far superior original band.
Suprisingly it wasn't Mick fleetwood and John Mcvie that formed the band. Nor was it named by them.
Peter Green formed the band and Named it and there debute album after his rhythm section.
IMO FM mk2 isn't as good. Although Lindsey Buckingham is a very good guitarist.
In fairness to FMac, they changed direction, when Nicks/Buckingham joined them.
Quite different but I like them both
Buckingham made a great job of Oh Well, a Peter Green track, last night.
Also saw Peter Green's Splinter back in 1996. Brilliant, but not sure where he is now.

It all stems from dropping acid. he has psychological problems. The reason he left the band. the medication he has to take make it difficult. He looses any enthusiasm to pick up a guitar.
He gave away his gibson guitar to Gary moore. Hence the Garry moore album "Blues for Greeny" In itself a fantastic album.
If you wat to hear Albatros then check this out. youtube.com/watch?v=dFNFafg7bNQ&feature=related
