year and head down once rooms are sorted. A bit of scoff and blether to
break the ice.
Once
in France I plan on getting out of the port and stopping at a toilet
stop about 2 miles along the motorway. Everyone then can sort
themselves out with out hundreds of cars, trucks and everything else getting in way.
Rough plan for week......
Monday Run to show what's around the place and descend on Cochem for lunch next to Mosel river then back to hotel for dinner. Tues Mohne Dam back for dinner Wed Run
with hotel owners and picnic finishing of at underwater volcano, then
out for meal in town with owners at a local restaurant Thurs Free day so you can go do your own thing as plenty around to do/see Friday Head to Belgium
Nurburgring subject to open days/times and what the weather is doing
Dinner:
- Sun - on the road to Germany
- Mon - buffet at hotel

As a note the breakfasts is a buffet which has a mix of hot and cold
food...the scrambled egg has bacon though it and is spot on

This is so when we get off the ferry we're together so we don't get mixed in with other bikers I have 20 bikes to look after so this will help me keep it all together
awesome sounds perfect, cant wait , its now 1.20 am ive got to be up at 5 am to catch a plane to Southampton to go look at a triumph then ride it all the way back to edinburgh, better make sure i got plenty coffee to hand lol, wish me luck
Chris sometimes i wish i was a machine mate, came up in a head wind all the way and when i picked up the shiny clean bike the sky turned black and decided to dump an entire winters worth of rain and hail on me with thunder and everything, after i picked up a bike that looked liked it had spent its life getting polished after just 5 miles of me owning it it looked like id just done a round the world trip on it, muck everywhere, didn't look it but was dam cold too had to use deicer on my nu*s just to release them from the tank otherwise i would have had to change my name from shaz to Sharon lol (sorry if that offends anyone) (when on the bike does anyone els need to pee twice as often than usual when its cold or is it just me?) plus the heated grips only worked when the sun came out, think they were more afraid of the cold than what i was lol , triumphs got to love them lol,
hi jhon thanks mate made it back in one piece, riding in the rain is good for you man, all that lovely cold rain dripping from the back of your helmet down your back or rain getting in between your jacket and gloves or how about the rain running down your leathers and into your boots or my personal favoret rain running down the front of your jacket on too your nether regions making you walk like jhon wayne from a cowboy movie while trying to get your wet gloves off that have now super glued themselves to your hands while trying to paying for your petrol with your soggy paper mash money with the casher looking at you wondering weather you rode in on a horse a bike or swam in
Shaz get the bike cleaned and some ACF50 on it and jobs a good un . I hope to get my Tenere back from Yamaha tomorrow as I've had a lot of issues with that also.
That did give me the giggles today. Theres an item thats been developed to keep you dry.. Its called 'Waterproofs'
Ahhhh I know what it was... You were trying to impress the ladies in the cars with the 'Look at me, the macho biker. Im not afraid of a little bit of rain' routine
just been to Infinity Motorcycles in York to pick up some new kevlar jeans for the jaunt... interesting geezer in there telling tales of the 'ring. reckons if you damage the armco, they charge you £1000 a meter to repair it PLUS £2000 to recover your bike, and more if they have to close the road / track. he suggests you just run away, if you can walk that is!!!
better put the stabilisers back on....
