Wonderful and informative dialogue between 2 men sat on a porch in the old film Shenandoah!!!!!
Prospective father in law: It's no easy job taking care of a woman! They expect things they never ask for and when they don't get them, they ask you why... sometimes they don't ask, and they just go ahead and punish you for not doing something you didn't know you were supposed to do in the first place!"
Prospective son-in-law: "What for instance?"
Prospective father-in-law: "Well that's a very difficult question to answer, you're never quite sure, it's just that it's... sort of you might say... relative!"
Prospective son-in-law: "Relative to what sir?"
Prospective father-in-law: "Relative to how they're feeling at the moment!"
Prospective son-in-law: "And how's that sir?"
Prospective father-in-law: "You never know!"
Prospective son-in-law: "I don't believe I really understand what it is that you're trying to tell me sir?"
Prospective father-in-law: "I know... I know... I never understood it myself... I never understood it... it's just one of those things... it's around, you just don't ever see it!"
Just as well I didn't read the "brochure" then PB!!
