My Mate was driving into town down the relief road.
on the other side of the road was a cyclist with no Lights.
It was shitty weather around 7:30pm he had his lights on and fog lights.
a police 4x4 passed him going the other way and imedately took off up to the round about and back down behind him well over the speed limit. pulled in and stopped him about a car length from next round about. very safe
He gave my mate load of grief to the point of being rude.
My mate pointed out to him that in his mad rush he had passed the Cyclist with no lights.
His reply was he only had one pair of hands. So not able to prioratise then.
But at least its a solved crime for his stats and some money for Brown to give to the banks

He was pulled for the crime of having fog lights on
apparently the copper thinks fog lights are a fashion accesory and have no use in this country.
Coppers own personal opinion doesn't count when it comes to the letter of the law & what your mate should have done is taken his number & made a complaint.I had one stop me for not having a fog lamp fitted,on a bike?? Asked him where in the highway code did it say it had to be,his answer was he was sure there was a law against it so he was nicking me for it,fine I said,go ahead Needless to say he backed off & gave me a warning,bolloks was my reply I did wait till he'd got back in his car till I said that though. In all fairness to him he did sit behind me for several miles & let me use his fog lamps,& with laws changing daily they can't be expected to know where they stand either.
Problem with this one oggy was his Jack boots starting to behave the way they are dressed
I find a lot of them don't know there arse from there elbow and have no idea how to be civil it dosnt take much.
There must be some decent one out there but they seem to be getting fewer and fewer. Tis a shame
