I really fancy travelling down on Thursday, at least i should get there dryish. Any other jocks going down early to avoid gettin drookit?
I'm pretty sure I'll be there (if I dont get lost). Journey time listed as 3.5 hours from here so probably setting off after lunch & there for bout 5pm at the latest.
sorry don't think it will be more as cake making delayed last night due to traumatic family events but thankfully all ok now and rain or shine I'm going on my big adventure and nothing's gonna stop me
Bill, it's probably because Babs has come to her senses and decided to have a seporate tent. It wasn't the wind at Barmouth that caused the damage, it was his snoring.
Put him in a different field I say
>>>>>>>>>>>runs for cover!!!!
Perhaps they are planning 'his' and 'hers' tents and babs will be issueing an invitation if he plays his card right
....and if it's for either of the two previous reasons I've got industrial quantities of earplugs (yes, I have...really lol)
IM coming too (cant get rid of me) Paul is travelling with us all being well, and ladies dont fart JP!!!!!!!!!well not loudly see you all soon cant waitXXXX
For those of you who don't have satnav:
Directions from M6 coming from south<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Leave M6 at junction 34 and head east on A683 signposted Kirkby Lonsdale. After 6 miles turn right onto B6480 signposted Bentham After 5.6 miles you will see the Punch Bowl on the right hand side. Go a few metres past the pub and the entrance to the camping field is just beyond on the right, before the railway bridge. You will see the Sign for the Punchbowl Hotel at the field entrance.
Directions from M6 coming from north/ Scotland
Leave M6 at junction 36 signposted A65 kirkby Lonsdale/ Skipton and Straight across the roundabout. Stay on A65 for 16 miles then turn right onto B6480 signposted Bentham 5miles.
From Settle/Skipton turn left off A65 about 7 miles northwest of Settle, Signposted B6480 Bentham 5 miles. On B6480 carry on for 5 miles and pass through High Bentham village (shops/supplies here). Continue for 1 mile on B6480 to Low Bentham & pass through village. Pass underneath the railway bridge & you will see the sign for the Punchbowl Hotel at the camping field entrance on the left. The camping field is just before the pub from this direction.
There are various wiggly, narrow, picturesque routes especially if you approach from the north but I think taking the B6480 is the most straightforward. I think this all makes sense but I will have confused some folk, no doubt...but done me best. It's pretty easy to find
