I hope you are all going to be well behaved? We go to church everyday, dont touch alcohol, dont swear, are never rowdy, will be in bed by nine, always stick to the speed limit, & never upset anybody so we expect all of you to follow suit.........Typical brits realy!........oh yes I forgot to mention we have only been dating for six months & we are not married so there will be none of that funny buisness goin on either!

Thx Noddy but no thx

Chris... Im replacing my engine crash bungs and fitting new engine crash bars. Well right side is fitted and looks awesome... Come to fit left side and I think I cross threaded the engine mounting bolt ffs.. It wont tighten at all to the required torque. Im hoping Kawasaki can sort it for me by Saturday... Dont know what they can do tho

Wish I hadnt started now and left it till I got back from the trip

they should be able to at least fit a helicoil into it so it will take a bolt - an engineering firm may be a better bet for ya good luck sorting it out

They should be able to sort it as knackered threads are common on bikes

Right just spent 30+ mins on phone to Germany so everything is sorted and the only change is the guided run is Tues not wed so will head up to Damn on Wed instead.

We have sorted a couple of guides so the group will be split into smaller numbers for safety. We will all go on same route just with a gap as you don't want to miss where we're going

Oh can feel the excitement building up now

Chris you have made me feel better bout it now..

britsingle.
I had never heard of helicoils before so googled it and now I know what they are... Says they are stronger than the original thread. Fingers crossed they can come to me and sort it rather than taking the bike to their workshop.. Looks like an easy process, says me who thought fitting new bars was easy..

Good luck with the repair Debs.

If you know of a good mobile mechanic he should be able to sort it.
They usually have a Heli-Coil kit in their box.

It will be such a shame if you cant make it
