On 1st August it will be 45 years since I first swung leg over a bike to go out on road. My Dad taught me on waste ground over previous 3 years. I still remember his words as I set off for that ride:
1: Treat EVERYONE else on the road as if they are brain dead.
2: You can go into a bend slow and come out fast,go in fast you might not come out at all
3: There are lots of old bikers,lots of bold bikers but very very few old,bold bikers.
ALWAYS ride within YOUR limits,if you are getting left behind DO NOT exceed your capabilities to "catch up".
