It was indeed a very interesting trip home from friskney. Lovely scenery, lovely roads a thoroughly enjoyable trip and they still complain. Some folk are never satisfied.

How am i s'posed to navigate when i don't know the difference between norfolk and suffolk. Great news for the webbed fingers but i fear they may be a bit pugilistic down there.

I've just checked out how far it is to the venue from mine.

It took about 7 hours to get back home from KISS 2......

I dread to think how long it would take on my 125 to Bury St Edmunds!

Did you walk?

7 Hours!!! Avoiding motorways it should still not have taken more than about 3 1/2 hours. Bury St Edmunds should only take you around 4 1/2 hours. You do realise that little leaver by your left foot goes up as well as down. There, you've got to come now just to slap me for my cheek; lol.

wow now i am really looking forward to going. i'm gonna get beaten up as soon as i set foot on the campsite. you middle earthers are far too violent, just like in the documentary they made about suffolk, lord of the rings was the name if i remember.

We're not that cruel xj. I'll hold her back until you've at least put your tent up.

is it compulsory to turn up on a bike lisa !! . go by car . everyone knows your a biker , so does it really matter that much. im probably going by car , i like my home comforts too much to be in a tent you cant stand up in , and lay on a 1" thick matress you cant get to sleep on . ive tried to fit the event tent, generator, microwave, tables, chairs and sound system on the bike . but it just aint happening ...

You need a goldwing buzz; lol. It's not compulsary to come on a bike. Cars, canoes, wheel barrows, etc are all welcome. We draw the line at tanks though due to restrictions on firearms; lol.

I would do, but unfortunately all that bouncing makes my satnav go funny and i end up getting lost. Also i would never be able to escape the natives on a spacehopper. They've got a lynch party waiting for me up there now.

I hadn't considered travel by car - just reckoned it was too far for a weekend by bike but maybe ...... Will there be a limit on numbers and a closing date for tickets? I've a few other things on in September but that weekend is still free. I'm hoping to join some of the earlier events which might help me make up my mind about you'se lot!!

Izzyhill there are a few that come down from scotland to the kiss rallys so if you did go by car you could sell boot space to the bike rides and claim a pilly for the ride out and you would have seating for sale aswell for those who have no transport.

Thanks JP, the thought had occurred and may just swing it. Hate to be down there and miss the ride out - not that you sound like a bunch who'd let that happen! It's still a long way but I know most of the route as I used to visit north Norfolk frequently until my mum passed away a few years ago.

Get you names down people, this will be a great weekend, we have loads planned!! For people traveling a long way by car, why not car share? this would save on costs!! There will be plenty of pilly seats available for the rideouts! If you don't have transport, request a lift on the events page. You never know, someone could be traveling from your area!!

Oooooo..... all go for another stonking party weekend, shame its still so far away... time wise that is...lol
Suffolk is indeed a beautiful county, but have never been to Bury st Eds so just might be yet another first for me... already had a few of those thanks to BM...lol
Seeing as a long way from North Shropshire it would be great to meet up with folk on route, or if anyone coming from further North and want to have a stop-over on route then I live in Whitchurch, North Shropshire, five minutes away from the Raven Cafe Bikers Meet venue... I always have the coffee or bacon butties on tap... and also have several spare bedrooms available should anyone need a bed for the night coming or returning to the event... or at any other time come to that, always good to have friends popping in... and I always have an open house for friendly BM members... Looking forward to another great ye3ar of BM events.... Cheers Simon and Ellie... keep up the good work..... Regards..John
