Don't know if this is what's confusing you bic chick but I think it's down as Loch Ness the sequel or something hopes this helps apologies if I'm wrong
Yep, that's the one AJ. Fort Augustus at the west end of Loch Ness. And brilliant it is too :-) It's now on the events page so sign up all who are interested. Anyone got any questions you don't want to put on here just drop me a pm.
Anyone wanting to book into the lodge needs to get in touch with them now. That are open and taking bookings. If you just turn up expect them to be fully booked, camping won't be a problem though.
Midges can be right bastards but it depends on where you stay. Midges like to be near still water and only fly when the air is very still, slightest bit of breeze and they are gone. We had very little midge trouble the last two years, just the odd nibble sat outside the pub. There are three solutions to the midges. 1. Avon skin so soft. 2. Go back inside the pub. 3. Stake XK out on the ground and cover him in jungle formula midge repellant. Midges actually think of jungle formula as a delicious marinade. This might seem harsh but after experiencing the after effects of his preferred diet of pickled eggs and liquid effluent is seems quite reasonable! So stop worrying.
