Too many peeps turn up in cars, just 2 party.
They r not interested in the bike scene.
It's very sad to hear of bikers refused tickets to a rally (sold out)
when car loads of non-bikers hav bought tickets.
Please, bikers only, or ex-bikers, or future bikers only.
Non-riders go pillion.
Note The Farmyard motto:
"No cars, no pedestrians, no excuses".
And I am not that harsh.
Just because someone arrives in a car doesn't mean to say they're "not interested" in the "bike scene".
My point exactly re: the Farmyard. 'orrible. Excluding bikers, just because they don't happen to have a bike on the road on that particular weekend. Totally off-putting.
and as I said. That's fine if that's their rules. BUT if the rally is organised by BM members under the BM banner then all are welcome. If you want to organise a rally off your own back and ban cars then that's up to you. You carry on, that's your rally XKL but I'm the same as Wannabe, I don't want to have to be beholden to someone who's offered me a lift and expects to also get their leg over!! It makes for a crap weekend and I also wouldn't want to pilly with someone I don't know and the bike laden down with camping kit. It's my life in their hands and if I don't know 'em I'm not going to let them risk my life. I'd rather stay at home than risk my neck with some macho showoff. My neck is worth way more than that.
wot if peeps turn up in cars just to party? aint that wots its all about ????????? folk goin out n have a blast of a weekend hmmmmmmmm maybe i got it wrong all these years of goin to rallies n not enjoyin the the bands the rock music ohhhhhhhhh n the beer
Non-bikers r not excluded at the Farmyard - if u r not a rider, come as pillion.
Last rally I went to, the car park was full of cars, bikers being turned away as venue full (H&S reasons).
Most of the car peeps not interested in bikes, just the opposite sex, as best party in town.
I don't want to have to be beholden to someone who's offered me a lift and expects to also get their leg over!!
I am really sorry that's how u view us fellas.
Spare pillion going WB, no strings, promise, just let me know if you fancy a ride
Hell yes!
Non-bikers r not excluded at the Farmyard - if u r not a rider, come as pillion.
I didn't say they were... I said BIKERS are excluded at the Farmyard... if they get up in the morning and can't start their bike up, they're not allowed in if they try to find an alternative way to get there.
Does having a conked out bike suddenly turn you into a "non" biker?
Sorry to say XKL, that has been the "reward" many girls are expected to pay for a lift. Spoken to no end of girls who have been expected to share a tent and be "grateful"
That's why it's easier for 3 or 4 girlies to get together and go in 1 car.
have to agree with the girls on this, we are all members regardless of what transport we use at any given time xk if you are selfish enough to want to exclude a big portion of our members then go organise your own rally! i would love to see as many people as possible from far and wide all enjoying themselves how ever they get there, how many genuine messages of support do we send to each other as we are taking lessons, tests, had accidents, had bikes stolen, had surgery....... so many reasons not to be able to travel by bike ,does not mean that we are not all mates this is a site for dating and socialising as well, its the person that counts.
Don't need to if it's a BM meet.
Like I said, if it's a BM meet then all would have to be welcome. We don't discriminate on site so we won't at a rally.
Lots of bikers want to take their kids with 'em (unless it's adults only) and if you've got kids then transporting the little angels on bikes is a non starter (specially if she who must be obeyed has said take 'em).
We could go on and on but the fact is, if we organise a BM meet then first come first served on the tickets regardless of mode of transport.
Well said Julie.
we are all members regardless of what transport we use
And I agree to allowances, as u have so rightly pointed out.
But if u r not a rider or pillion, past or future, wot r u doing on this site? why not be on non-biker sites?
I don't have a bike, and I don't want ride pillion with someone I don't know, so if I'm not allowed into rallies etc, because i'm not on a bike.. how do I meet and get to know people who have got bikes , eh?? tell me that.
sure that we all will or have been rider or pillion at some point, nobody has the right to stand at the gate and judge other members on the day and little chick you come because you are part of a community that welcomes you for whats in your heart not whats in your garage (sorry to get all cheesey there guys and gals!)
