Well done everybody...have really enjoyed this thread.. I just love any sweets, can anyone remember rhubarb and custard chews, fruit salad chews, nutty bar (fudge finger encased in peanuts!), liquourice catherine wheels...oh yes oh yes oh yes! Gosh Im getting hungry now! LOL

Prices? Who can remember prices? lol serpently not me. The only thing I can remember the cost of was my Beano comic for 3d, or thripence in local parlance, and that's only cos the thripny bit was my favourite coin. (who's sad?)

Blackjacks and fruit salads were 8 for a penny when I was a nipper lol oh 1d as Kwak has kindly pointed out lol
Coconut tobacco lol (god that was marvelous stuff same colour as baccy came in a pouch too lol) I bought some of that last year in a little shop in Poole just a street away from the harbour they sell loads of older sweets there.
