Don't know if the CB's got a mounting for a side stand but if not you can get universal stands that clamp onto the bottom frame rail.

No probs JJ, twas a pleasure. Your little "slug" is quite a tidy bike, for its age its in suprisingly good nick Tea was good and plentyful,"proper" sausage sarnies on "real bread" were most welcome Plus I had a good ride out See you again soon when the bits come, keep in touch and try to resist the temptation to ride it before I've finished working on it Em

I need Help!! bought myself a hayabusa 99 model show bike had it delivered yesterday and promptly went for a short ride, put some petrol in it, rode half a mile missed some lights and it died on tick-over, unable to start it for 5 mins, got going again and it 500 yards same thing again, grrrr well pissed off now, 10 mins later it started got home but it feels a bit lumpy. What do I do? did all usual checks without getting inside the bike, how much are diagnostic checks? the only change on engine is a K&N filter, could it be mapping?

Sounds like a "chip" problem to me mate ? What you mean "missed some lights" ? Its probably nothing to do with you or what/where you've been on it Have you contacted the vendor? they may shed some light on it, I'm afraid I dont know a lot about "computer bikes" I prefer to tell the bike what I want Good luck P keep us posted

hi,EM...i had a similar problem with a ford car years ago.ride...cuts out...10min break, starts rides again ..cuts out and on and on , i eventually after spending lots of money took the ford to the dealer who connected it up to a diagnostic centre and found the lead between the condenser and coil had broken , when the motor got warm the insulation expanded = no power flow ,on cooling down insulation contracted = start and ride again ....the dealer replaced the wire no charge and i had many years easy driving ,it makes one think.

I know nowt about bikes so probably ignore the rest of this BUT once when I took my bike for an MOT test the mechanic altered my timing and it cut out on me just yards down the road, luckily I knew what was wrong almost straight away so I adjusted it to how the bike liked it FAST lol I know, it's prob nowt to do wiv it but hey ho, worth a try. Only way to find out the cost of any mechanic's work is to ask the mechanic. Good luck with sorting it out Peter
