For those of us going to this years Rock & Blues, it's important to know the basics...
Have fun, get drunk and enjoy the weekend and all it has to offer.
You may or may not have have heard of STOAS, this is a little fun thing
which has turned into a competition within the Rock & Blue Forum
members. STOAS, stand s Stupid Thing On A Stick. The whole idea being
that you find a stick and attach the stupidest thing you can think of
to it can carry it around with you during the day.
If you're going to get a tattoo whilst you're there, remember to
get it fairly early on, before you start drinking. If you decide on the
Saturday morning that you're gonna get a new tat after a Friday night
sinking as much beer as you possibly can, when you go to get the
tattoo, you will bleed like hell and prolly lose the color in the
tattoo, when it scabs over.
One other piece of advice, if you can try and get yourself a big
flag and put it on a long flag pole next to your tent or the group of
tents where you and your mates are camped. As there are expected to be
an the region of 45,000 people at the Rock & Blues this year,
finding your tent in the dark when you're drunk isn't gonna be easy.
Putting a flag up that you will easily recognize will help you and your
mates a great deal.
RC,
as an alarm engineer i will see if i have got a red / blue flashing strobe light and battery.
so at night we all should be abvle to see were are tents are.
Mr Shaggy
can you all do me and oggy a small fav please ..... keep an eye on di she seems to have a few beers and then falls over , blames the closest person to her . yes its happen twice that i know of once with oggy and once with myself , so people we ned to know if this happens with others if so let us know so then we are off the hook
"MOTHER NATURE STRIKES AGAIN"
Due to the current wet weather conditions there will be some
serious disruption to what would have been the normal RBCS.
What is usually the main arena has now been relocated within
the site, you will have never seen the show in this format.
"YOUR PATIENCE ON ARRIVAL AT THE EVENT WILL BE REQUIRED"
MOTORCYCLES - TRIKES
Firstly all Motorcycle parking/camping will be as normal but however
will be on a first come first served basis as regards what would normally be
the bike camping fields once that is full there are provisions in place
to then Park & Camp in other areas of the site
CARS - VANS
There is no provision this year for cars - vans to camp and park together
on the usual camping fields. As you arrive near to the site in this
type of vehicle please look out for directional traffic signs for Cars
- Vans and follow them to what will be a permanent weekend Car Park.
Unfortunately from there you will need to carry your camping equipment
to the campsite on foot. There will strictly be no vehicles allowed on
to the campsite whatsoever and your patience and understanding is
required at all times. Please remember that this is totally out of our
control, basically everything that is being put into place is due to
the weather but we will get through this if you work with us.
"please be advised not to bring to much equipment with you"
CARAVANS
"STRICTLY NO CARAVANS WHATSOEVER"
We apologise for any inconvenience & disruption caused
If you live local to the event we advise you to find alternative transport arrangements and not bring your car or van
