Simon, is this the visitors centre with the climbing wall and high ropes course, albeit a tiny one?

Hi Loobylou the rock blok climbing is at Whitwell not Lyndon,.......

Simon the Lyndon visitor centre is the bird-watching place, I think there's just toilets there, no cafe or refreshments....... where did you meet up before? Was it at Whitwell, where the rutland cycling, outdoor adventure & water sports are?

If it helps I've found the postcode for Whitwell Centre off the A606 where the Cycling & Adventure places are .....it's LE15 8BL ......

PS Rutland Water isn't confusing it's a big man-made reservoir, & if we don't get much more rain it will be a little puddle instead & you'll be able to walk across it!! LOL

The North Shore one is on the Normanton Road.

Maybe we should all do our bit and Pee in the Lake!!!

LOL, it will take a lot more than the rain we have had so far. I believe we are going to need a very wet month to get the levels back up.

Get ur wet riding gear out!

It will rain soon John. Bike's getting MOT and tax next week so that will be a cue for wet weather, almost guaranteed.

A few of us ventured out to Rutland Water last November in the fog and cold so is anyone interested in a return visit with "hopefully" better weather.

May Bank Holiday - Monday 7th meet at the cafe on the North Shore for 1.00 pm.

My route will be from Crowland via Market Deeping and Stamford if anyone wants to join me, and anyone travelling from other areas can hopefully bring a few others with them on their route.

If there's enough interest I'll submit it to the calendar. please let Simon66 know

Get your names down folks. As Rutland Water is quite a large site I'll contact everyone on the events list with my mobile number a couple of days before so no-one ends up sitting on their own in a different car park.

Just noticed on the Events page there is a typo in the address:

Rutland Water
Oahham
Rutland
England
Oahham should be Oakham.

We don't want the Femal riders getting lost - LOL, naughty boy.

Also the postcode relates to Eppingham on the Opposite side of Rutland Water to Oakham, the Event also says the South Shore @ Lyndon Visitor Centre.

I think some clensing of info is required so as not to confuse everyone. Extra directions to where the Cafe (which one) will be needed for all attendees also.

John.
