Summary of FAQs about the weekend: -Gordon is doing a Hotpot supper for £5 each on Friday night. No veggie option as far as I am aware but the pub menu will be available all weekend at a very competitive price. -brekkie sat & sunday morning (not checked Friday sorry) for about a fiver for a full English and bacon buns etc available -shops and other services eg cash point, takeaways in High Bentham about a mile up the road -loos will be open all the time the pub is open but during night time hours there are 2 portaloos in the camping field. -Bonfire on Friday night...with singaglongajohn sessions -Disco saturday night -Ride out to Lakes Saturday -Ride back via Blackpool saturday morning (but Bill will chat with peeps about both rides to see where they fancy) -brewing gear available so bring a mug & we will ask a modest contribution to cost of brew stuff -no showers available. Sorry, use the beck or bring baby wipes....it's only a couple of nights & your skin won't shrivel up & drop off lol -weekend fishing license available from the pub if you fancy doing some fishing....so don't forget your rod -bringing your own grub & grog onto the campsite is fine but please respect that Gordon the landlord would appreciate you don't take it in the pub....he's letting us camp for free after all -Karen & I will be catching up with you all over the weekend for a contribution to cover the costs of the DJ/disco, 2 portaloos.....and summat else but I can't recall what it is lol...this will be around a fiver but definitely no more than £10...the final amount depends on how many people turn up -please all generate positive vibes to attract some kind weather to Low Bentham -Thinks that's all....phew!!

For those of you who don't have satnav: Directions from M6 coming from south<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Leave M6 at junction 34 and head east on A683 signposted Kirkby Lonsdale. After 6 miles turn right onto B6480 signposted Bentham After 5.6 miles you will see the Punch Bowl on the right hand side. Go a few metres past the pub and the entrance to the camping field is just beyond on the right, before the railway bridge. You will see the Sign for the Punchbowl Hotel at the field entrance. Directions from M6 coming from north/ Scotland Leave M6 at junction 36 signposted A65 kirkby Lonsdale/ Skipton and Straight across the roundabout. Stay on A65 for 16 miles then turn right onto B6480 signposted Bentham 5miles. From Settle/Skipton turn left off A65 about 7 miles northwest of Settle, Signposted B6480 Bentham 5 miles. On B6480 carry on for 5 miles and pass through High Bentham village (shops/supplies here). Continue for 1 mile on B6480 to Low Bentham & pass through village. Pass underneath the railway bridge & you will see the sign for the Punchbowl Hotel at the camping field entrance on the left. The camping field is just before the pub from this direction. There are various wiggly, narrow, picturesque routes especially if you approach from the north but I think taking the B6480 is the most straightforward. I think this all makes sense but I will have confused some folk, no doubt...but done me best. It's pretty easy to find If you feel you want a contact number, pm me & I'll give you my mobile no

Hurrah
I'm up and all excited
we'll be setting off about lunchtime going partway so I get used to riding and carrying a bit of stuff, stopping over in SquirrelKiller's caravan (think I'm going to need my earplugs and lots of alkeyhole to get to sleep ) and then carrying on to campsite on Friday with me carrying a bit more stuff. I did try to pack light but now I'm worried but hey.....IT'S AN ADVENTURE

can't wait to see you folks tomorrow and I'm feeling very
