DC,you will be pleased to know I always slow down for horses, and always give them a wide space where possible. But am quite happy to wait for them to carry on,or if they're having 'a turn' just wait.I am shocked at the way some of the drivers where I am speed around the country lanes.I'm not only worried about frightening the horses, but we have lots deer and even peacocks which roam about. As you said, horses were here before the 'enginey' stuff,we all need to slow down and be more patient

Woohoo! Found a job that isn't demanding oodles of experience and bits of paper saying you can do stuff...

But the shifts are only 6 hours long... 5 days a week... £34.48 per shift... gross pay... with a 42 mile round trip! Ye gads! Less tax, NI, petrol and toll tunnel costs... that ain't a whole helluvalot left over at the end of it!

*back to the surfing*

Watched Mr Kyle's show once, just to say that I had... frightening that these people are stealing my oxygen

I simply can't afford to go to work that far away for £170 gross a week... once I've paid out tax, NI, travel costs and all the rest of it, I may as well just stay home on sick pay, trying to grab a few extra quid on ebay.

If it was walking distance, it'd be *just* worth doing, but it's too far away, plus £3 toll charges every day. Does not compute!

Walking distance and £200 gross a week, I could just about cope with (at a push)... and it's 20 years since I earned such a piddling amount... crazy state of affairs, but that's what I'm reduced to. It's no wonder that people who are sprogged up and get loads of extras like rent paid and whatnot just never bother going out to work!
