Last night I had to abandon a trip out to see a mates band in a town about 40 miles away....got 10 miles up the A1 and felt like I was being pulled all over the road by strong gusts, decided it wasn`t worth it so came home via smaller roads where at least I was sheltered. Ended up in my local with a beer, chatting to another old friend, so it wasn`t all bad. Still howling out there this morning!
Riding home last night the wind was doing a damned fine job of trying to rip my head off, today it looks just as windy, but it's also biblically wet....
Postie was dropping off a package to me this morning, poor chap working in this weather, and he said some moron in a nearby street had actually phoned the delivery office to complain that their mail was damp
Absolutely brilliant if you own a fekn submarine. present river level is 6.794.m the floodbank is 7.23.m Needless to say I've been happier. last flood mi house had a very generous three foot of river Eden in the living room.
Omg. That's weird someone's painted the road brown and left a lot of car roofs on it! Ahhhh, I see now. It's fekn flooded, again!. Thanks for all your concern peeps. . Lots of photos on fb. Can't seem to add one on here with mi phone. I brought mi cat's water, food and litter tray upstairs and forget to bring a drink for myself. I must admit, the Pud's waterbowl is looking very tempting. I hope the water recedes soon . Absolutely gagging for a coffee. The water is up to the kitchen worktops but my espresso machine looks ok . No fekn leccy. Oh well , gas stove it is. See you all in the new year. Merry crimbo to one and all .
Feck! I thought we got it bad in N Ireland last two nights with roofs being blown off and trees blown over, but you are getting it worse across the pond!! Am watching the pics on the news at the min of all Cumbria being flooded :( Sorry to everyone affected there, hope you all get dry soon. x
Our weather here has calmed down and the sun is out ... for now....
