TigerTim asked: Why does your nose itch the moment you get to motorway speed + on your bike?
I'm so glad it's not just me it happens to, isn't it annoying? It's difficult to scratch with bike gloves on.

pattylonglegs asked: why do yummie mummies nowadays let their brats scream their heads off in Asda & not tell them off for making a racket?
Because if a child is having a tantrum it's best to ignore them, to give them attention when they are behaving badly just endorses that behaviour so they do it all the more.
It should be illegal to have kids (just kidding)
Why is it the minute you want to cross the non-busy road it becomes busy?
Unfortunately Sandi, the kids were not having tantrums, they were just screaming & making a racket because they know their parents have not & will not discipline them. ......Common sense has died, unruly children rule now.....
I agree, people/parents are wary of the consequences.. We're a generation who are likely to have been physically chastised at some point. I know I was on occasion and I knew exactly what I was being cracked for at the time.. If a parent was seen to physically chastise a child in public, then they would be perceived as the worst parents in the world and carted off in the back of a police car.. I blame society and its messed up rules of what is and is not acceptable, not necessarily bad parenting.
I find punishment & reward render the best results.
Don't repeatedly screech empty threats, threaten once then follow through, & on the flip side when they are well behaved or follow instructions without a fuss, praise & reward.
In my opinion too many parents these days are inconsistent on both of these counts.
Desperate people clutch at straws to salvage a perceived dignity
It's all a facade'
A "smokescreen" to hide the shabby way that "ordinary" people are being systematically dis-enfranchised
