@RB, ive been looking for somewhere for 6 of us but i dont seem yo be able to find anywhere at present, so am thinking is there a nyha place, it only somewhere to put head down for one night. Gonna hit this task full on tomoz. Only other option is i drive n get us back to @stuie's cottage as its closest to the darkside of the pennines.!!!

Still looking forward to this. Will be a fab night, no doubt about it.

There is the YMCA place at Castlefield but it isn't cheap. The ones I've put down have free parking as well, as in city centre its a blooming rip off. Try http://www.yha.org.uk/hostel/manchester

30 November 2013, start time 7:30 pm until late.  The Lass O'Gowry
http://www.thelass.co.uk/cont...php...php

36 CHARLES STREET M1 7DB TEL(0161) 273 6932

up to 10 real ales

don't forget 10 varieties of real ale.....Niki Stone is dancing and GBNP is providing the rest of the entertainment.......who could possible want to miss this night out lol.

For any newbies.... don't be put off by the thought of walking into a pub to meet us, we don't bite (well GBNP will if you ask her nicely).     If you want to bring a friend for moral support that is fine too.

Well one was going to wear ones best frock suit and best boots. But I guess if we are dressing down and going 'casual' one might stoop as low as a sports jacket cravat and deck shoes.

One would only wear brown cords If they were presenting top gear or at a young farmers bash.

Chino's are soooo last decade ... one must consider one's apparel VERY carefully when attending such a prestigious event ...

http://www.wilmslowhotel.co.uk/hotel-rates Try the above, however, it does look like most places are full which is a bit of a begger. There are a couple of B&B's stockport way, but they don't have websites or ratings.
