This is a day to Pick up a Pillion if you possibly can (although it's ok if you don't) and meet at Matlock by the big Ice cream cones for a get together, banter and eat chips and ice cream. Get to meet and greet other members. ideal day for newbies to meet the old hands or just for a catch up with friends and acquaintances. Event posted by VFR800AJ on 26 January 2017

Hi to all you new and old types ha ha Keep an eye on 23rd April - Pick up a Pillion day - this year will be at Matlock. This is a great event to meet up with new people and keep an eye out also for places to meet up prior to setting off for MATLOCK - or make your own way. I'm pretty sure (mentioning no names) that I know one or two who have paired off after a Pick up a Pilly day, Should be on events callendar. For us Midland lot, the usual meet up is Bassetts Pole and then go from there, but I'll finalise that nearer the time. If you want to check out where it is - Post Code Address: London Road Bassets Pole, Sutton ...... B75 5SA Usually meet outside or inside McDonalds for a tea and a bun before setting off. I don't mind leading if someone will volunteer to be backmarker to keep the L's and 125's in line. No motorways so L/125 will be OK, no-one will get left behind. Come along, join in, what have you got to lose ??? As BJ says : Anybody wanting a pilly seat, add yourself to the 'lift' option
If I can manage to get all my jobs done on the bike in time I might come along on this one . Probably meet up at the Holmfirth meeting point. I will try .
i'm only near Uppermill so Holmfirth is a lot easier for me anyway . I have loads of new parts to fit before i can take it out and i'm having a garage put in at the moment, so i'm stuck to weather allowing conditions to fit parts, untill garage is up and running.

OK..must be time for me to ask a silly question posed a thousand times before... Why isn't it possible to create an active link between the event and the relevant post (this one)..? I would've thought that would save loadsa bumping, repasting and constantly having to repeat stuff? Updates are great, but to have post and event directly linked would also make it easier to switch between the two and help keep things live and current. I've seen it configured in other similar software apps. Matt...Mods...am I being too off planet?
