This morning, i.e. 6am, started with a walk through the country, checking out the sloe berries and talking to the sheep and the cows.
This evening I have finished assembling a shed!
But in between me and Big10 went for a play. Up the Dale to Alston (2 cars and 4 bikes in 18 miles = gridlock) Over Hartside to Penrith, because, well just because. A blat down the A6 to Kendal , up through the Lakes (pretty but busy as ever). Into Keswick for a pasty then via Bassenthwaite and round the back of Skiddaw (good to be away from traffic again), on to Great Salkeld and thus to Alston again From there a gentle-ish bimble back down the Dale, perhaps 10 bikes and a couple of cars this time - busy today but 4:30 is rush hour I suppose.
I love it up here in this industrial wasteland :-)
