I have for the last thirty years nodded at everyone on two and three wheels. That of course doesn't include relients with the bodywork still on. or sinclair C5's. What you need to do Nina is catch up with them and give them a right talking to. Oh, sorry you can't catch up with them can you?

Nina I must admit I never really had that problem I found most bikers used to nod to me on my 125 especially when I still had my L plates on, in fact bikers still nod to me now I am on my 535 but I think most of that is because I move over for them to whiz passed me so maybe thats more of a thank you. My rant is people that think they can turn a happy bike club into a dictatorship and if you speak your mind with out permission you are picked on and bullied. Gosh you may have guessed I really dislike my Centre Rep but I am going to remain a thorn in his side, I am not going to let him get out the pruning shears on me that would be letting him win. Tangoman, I get lots of useful things from Wilko's there the cheapest place for blue rinse hair dye, tenna lady, steradent, lavender talc, moth repellent, ( I was going to put moth balls but knew that would get some comments) oh yeah and Carbolic soap.

People that have their name down for the June camping week end but haven't confirmed yet. Come on I need numbers. *CG runs for the cover under one of ChaVbots disgarded string vests, which enables her to see anyone advancing towards her. *

I don't nod towards anyone - I wave instead. Indeed I wave at anyone on a bike be it sportsbike, harley, L plate or copper, don't matter to me. In fact I get so used to waving that sometimes I forget I'm in the car and still wave!!

geoffb2005 @ 28/04/2008 17:53

Wow perhaps I should try waving instead of nodding mind you not sure I could let go of the handlebars long enough to wave, maybe that will come about the same time as I manage to find those ever elusive 4 and 5th gears on my bike I am sure there under the seat somewhere and no one is telling me. Perhaps I should start a new thread, Help CG find her missing gears suggestions welcome.

Geoff, I thought I was the only one that waved to bikes from the car! I even wave to scooters, well, sometimes. TM wot's wrong with Wilkos? They do some nice cheap motor oil and there's a discount for the under-75s, I believe. Sorry, CG, you've just missed out on that one

Job centre staff giving incorrect information.. more than once. I had to let a job go that I had been offered because the job centre staff gave me incorrect info about how much money I could earn.

Employers who change their mind about their avertised vacancy and withdraw it after the hopeful unemployed have applied.

Government rules.. about who gets what, e.g. foreigners get all the financial help they need, natives get turned down all the time (well THIS one does)

I asked for help to replace my glasses cos I need a new prescription but was turned down because it was before the statutory 2 yrs. I can't help it that my eyesight deteriorated at a quicker pace than their rules dictate.

I also asked for a grant (£180 in total, from undies to overcoat) for new clothes, (I can't afford a loan as I can't afford to repay it) since I quit smoking I've put weight on and even my undies don't fit me anymore. Have you tried wearing clothes, and especially undies, that are 2 sizes too small? it's not very comfortable. (No thanks, donations are not required lol) I was told my need is not great enough. The fact that I can't do my coat up to keep the rain and cold out doesn't matter to them. And before anyone says go on a diet don't bother, I'm ranting I don't want criticising lol

I asked for financial help to pay the £100 I'd need for an exam fee, the course is FREE but what good is that if I can't afford to, and they won't, pay for the exam. The course was to brush up on my dated qualifications to help me have a better chance of getting a job.
I re-trained, due to physical problems, to enable me to keep working but all I've had since is the job centre/government denying me any help when I need it.

It destroys the soul when the same government allow foreigners access to benefits for their family even when their children don't even live in this country.

Local Council keep offering me crap houses, or to be more accurate pissy houses.

I'm just well piffed oss at the moment (like ya couldn't tell lol)

I can't afford 4 quid Tango, that's my point. I wouldn't risk my eye sight with off-the-peg glasses even if I could afford 'em. Altho I'm not officially disabled I do have health issues which restricts what kind of work I can do, hence my re-training to enable me to keep working, but I don't qualify for financial help other than unemployment allowance. Maybe I qualify for the 'fat-person's allowance' tho, I should give it a try eh? ROFL

I myself am a lard-arse. I got said arse my filling my face and drinking too much. I wasn't offended at all. perhaps we should lighten up a bit. After all this is a biker site not the WI. Mind you its getting more like the WI every day. Anyone got any good jam recipies?

   Update Reply
bluesbiker @ 29/04/2008 17:01

Anyone for my favourite jam recipe, then that would be Gooseberry, as I always end up playing it when it comes to dating. Oh and if you need any jam jars they do a good range in Wilko even if Wills has told me I have just missed the age related discount they offer.
