No problem at all Mrc, I can't see us setting off for a ride before 11:00 anyway which gives you plenty of time to bimble over.

Only 9 weeks to go 😊 - I'd better get on with planning things 😳

I'll contact the Teesdale Hotel over the next week or so and see what we're going to do about the Friday night feed. I expect it will be the same as last year (I'll book tables, take your food orders a week or two in advance and you pay the pub).

For Saturday & Sunday you'll need to sort yourselves out. It will be worth booking a table if you want to guarantee a feed.
I can recommend the Forrester for a good nosh, there is also a good chippy or you can head to any field and ask the sheep to share their hay.

The ride out could go anywhere, but expect a gentle bimble of about 150 miles, no motorways, plenty of coffee & cake stops and not much traffic. I'll try to come back via Alston so that anyone that's feeling frisky can have a frisk 😈
Not that I can condone such behaviour.

If you're thinking about coming put your name down, and if you're not take you name off.

Accommodation Update

That Robson Green fella has started showing Teesdale in his latest TV series, and since then the area is getting quite a bit busier. If the weather is good at Easter we're expecting a bumper crop of tourists.

What that means is accommodation is going to get taken, so if you're planning on coming and you've not booked you had better do so. That includes those that intend to camp at either Daleview (which has a pub but only a small camping area) or Leekworth (more space, no pub), ring up and book, don't expect to be able to get in on spec.

If you are thinking of staying further outside the village remember there is no public transport and the nearest taxis are about 10 miles away in Barnard Castle.

I've never watched any of his programmes but yes I knew his name.. I was merely commenting on the importance of his visit compared to that of BM 🤣

Hopefully we'll spend more in the pubs and cafes Strom... And not attract as much attention 😊
Spring is on its way, I've seen the first lambs, lapwings, motorbikes and 'ejits wearing shorts' of the season - although to be fair all where saying "f*** me its cold" 😆
Get your names down, it's going to be a stonker 😈

Shaz, I somehow doubt very much that you will ever be on time. Afterall you are the original 'Midnight Cowboy', and we wouldn't want you to be any different! 😉👍🏻

What time are you 'planning' on arriving? Do you need an alarm call?

Being a helpful friend maybe I'll just call you every hour on the hour from noon onwards... 🤔😊
