Gawd, just about anything Ray Winstone says is a legend...
See the Robin Of Sherwood series from the 80s. Ray playing Will Scarlett, storming round in panic, crying,
"Robin..... I'm a leper..... I'm a LEPER!!!!"
Anything from the 80's involving a busty young blonde with a Kevin Keegan perm and Ron Jeremy
Failing that just about anything Leslie Nielson has done!
Freebird; the scene where they arrive in the woods to camp.
An underrated film which deserved more exposure.
In the scene two bikers, Fred and Tyg notice a strange smell in the woods:
Tyg: Can you smell that?
Fred: Thats the countryside Tyg
off camera......Grouch played by Phil Daniels pipes up:
Grouch: erm no.......its me ....I'm having a dump!
Camera pans left to reveal Grouch squatting in the bushes rolling a joint.
Fred: (to Tyg) Pub?................and walks off with Tyg
Grouch: Wait! it's only half out!
Cracks me up every time.
The 300 Spartans.
Persian commander to King Leonidas:
"Our arrows will block out the sun!"
Reply:
"Then we shall fight in the shade!"
Also
Persian - "U can go free, just give us your weapons".
Leonidas - "Come and take them!"
300 or The 300 Spartains original and remake (prefer the original)
When they use the dead bodies of their slayn foes as building material to boost a flanking wall.
I liked the remake of the Italian Job (but they call it their own italian job as they took inspitration to get the gold out with minis)
Strainge how the charicters names were the same though!!!
But changing Benny Hills charicter from a bumbling chubby chaser to a computer geek dunno.........ok works in more modern times. But the Italian Job original is a far better film, all the in jokes the slickness of the driving (no CGI to help).
how about the opening scene in once upon a time in the west? fn brill! an not forgettin the funeral proccesion with Yul brynner an Steve M'queen in the magnificent seven!! an of couse eli walloch the bandit leader countin the seven!! an for a comedy western the three amigo's realisin it's for real!
Gotta agree Andy, The Gangs of New York is a stunning film, throughout.....
My fave film of all time is 'Mask', still gets me filled up every time.....
The scene where Rocky goes into the hall of mirrors, and see's his face, how he would have looked if he hadn't had the disease, and then Rusty (Cher) gets called in and she see's him too, god I now its only acting but that scene gets me...
When Dozer, who has speech problems, when Rocky gets his awards, manages to utter 'I'm.................real................proud............ of you.......... Rocky'............, I'm in tears!
and the closing scene of the view down the mountain from the cemetry, Bob Seger playing in the background - wheres the Kleenex?!!!!
