Will post a day 10 adventure - prob tomorrow for all those following the tales of HFG
Was great to see so many BMers there -old faces & new ones. Was a great day out.
Also an update from Kasaki, who was faffing around & then when he did decide he was coming to Matlock promptly got stopped by the cops...luckily no ticket though but a good telling off!!!

Dead proud of you HFG and Karey for going it alone...so lovely to see you again after such a long time!
Agree with Craig it was such a lovely day...so nice to attend my first BM meet of this year...so lovely to see old faces and a lot of new..
Sorry folks I couldnt stay longer...as you probably know the girls spent all my money for me instead...what lovely weather too...we dropped by Carsington Water on the way home....it was too nice not to..
Cant wait to see everyone again....BIG BIG HUGS...
with the turnout you had at mb today I,m sure quite a few would camp especially at the Duke William at £4 per night!!!!!
and a live singer on sat nights!!!
didnt even notice church bells going off thanks to guiness!!!
Yet again another brilliant day at Matlock..
And my first ride there on my own bike!!!!!
Set off from mine about 9am, escorted by Geoff and Rachel.
Got to Stellas, then set off to Matlock ( I'll leave the details to Stella ...I'm at work and shuddent really be on here..lol)
Had a brilliant day in Matlock.. good to see you all again..and to meet new people too......lovely sunny day ..lots of ppl/bikes.. was ace!
Had a good ride back, though I'm still not happy wiv my riding, combination of bike/me i think.
Stopped in Glossop for a break, then back to Stellas for a cuppa.. then Geoff chaperoned me home.. all bar the last mile which i did on my own...Woooo hoooooo my first solo ride!!! hahahahahah
Got home about 10.15pm... a long day out...but a brilliant one!
Arms aching a bit today .. but nowt much .. all in all a fantastic day!
I'm soooooo chuffed wiv misen...and thanks to everyone that was chuffed for me tooo.. you're all stars!!
*will write more when I can get on here wivout BB watchin me *
Considering how relatively little time you've both had on those bikes Kaz, both you and Stella did brilliantly yesterday.
Even when Stella decided to turn left at the roundabout in Matlock despite everyone else going right (waits for a thump), she turned left with confidence!!
Can't chat ... mouthful of cake!
THWACK!!! - it wasn't Matlock - it was Buxton & that's the only way I know to go & you didn't tell me we were supposed to turn right there!!
Thanks for the complement anyway
Great meet, much better weather than the snow we had last time.
Nice to say hi to those I have met before and also lovely to meet new people.
Karey and HG I am such a soppy old gal when you both said you had ridden there I was well choked up, Karey it don't seem five minutes since I was saying to you I would pm and nag you until you got a bike, now look at you. FANTASTIC BOTH and BIG HUGE thanks to GEOFF and ROACHY for all your support for these girls, if it wasn't for people like yourselves I am sure several of us would never be riding. I to had a great couple of mates who supported and encouraged me to get out.
Janski well done to for riding from Grantham on your own.
Craig thanks for not complaining when I sat in the pub knitting and couldn't speak because I was concentrating on a very difficult pattern.
Blues thanks for your support and not throwing a wobbly when I pulled over and had a cry and felt like giving up on the way home.
Like Craig has said the Duke William is a great place to camp, I have camped there a couple of times before with other bm folk for the Matlock meets.
Wheelienice and tazant sorry you couldn't make it and hope you have managed to get your bike sorted, just grateful that you realised the problem and that you didn't have an accident.
For any future matlock events, CG told me about this little campsite and about the fun times she had there doing her knitting in the corner whilst other folk from bm participated in a fruit juice from the attached licenced premises and although basic, it has everything you need for a few nights under canvas and its deffo value for money£4 per head per night...
I'll be using it again to explore the wonderful surrounding areas in the near future.......
Big thanks to timhall for the lift
What glorious weather we had, not bad considering it's supposed to be the rainy month.
Green with envy and very proud of HFG and Karey for making it all the way there on their bikes. Something I would never do on mine. Well done
I've added my photos to the event page, as I type this they are the last 12 on the page.
