Got a quick question. What happens if there's quite a few bikes? On the Whitby run, 16 bikes set off and within a few miles the tail enders got lost because a couple of bikes got into the group and turned left at some lights and someone followed them rather than the main group.
Luckily the tail end charlie had spotted everyone else had gone straight on, followed them and brought them to the midway stop another route.
Knowing the first and last rider in a big group doen't help when you can't see them anymore because the group is too big and stretched out.
Will it help to know who should be directly in front and behind you and for no-one to move their position unless moving from front to rear?
Well I think I'm looking forward to it - just hoping that no-one takes a turn down any deadends as I can't do u-turns for toffee on this bike!
Lead rider will pull up within view , either just b4 the turn or just after the turn , and wait 4 the last rider to pass b4 setting off again , once we're rolling u really only need to remember who u were following .
sounds like a plan XK - however if it's pishing down in the morning for set off time,I doubt I'll be coming....my lift dosn't like riding in the rain..well no that's wrong...he dosn't like setting off for a ride in the rain..getting caught out in it is another matter!
So who's coming then????
