being the youngest of 10 i remember at school doing PE, i had no shorts so my mum had a great idea get one of my sisters skirts sew it up the middle and cut a slit to make shorts, i was the only boy with pleated shorts.... Yep those where the days....
And weren't we so much more inventive because of how little we had? We could make a toy out of anything. A piece of string? You can tie your sister up so one leg is off the floor but if she puts it down she will punch herself in the face!! What a laugh!!
This young lad used to hang around with us, can't remember his real name but we called him "Mossop" after the puppet character on the kid's programme of the same name, primarily because he was the spitting image. Google "Mossop", this little kid looked just like him, well wierd.
Anyway, I digress; he was a bit of a cheeky little chap and one day as we were all getting ready to go out he decided it would be funny to push me into my mate's pond!
Apparently, he hadn't actually meant to push me in, but rather push me towards it in order to scare me (yeah, right!). Anyway, we couldn't let him get away with this.
So we grabbed him, picked him up, put him in a green wheelie bin, tied it up and went to the pub (none of us were 18 yet, but hey-ho!).
When we came back his Mother was going mental. Mossop had managed to get out of the wheelie bin after having some form of fit! Turns out he was highly claustrophobic!

but can anyone remember running with a tyre or wheel hitting it with a stick and when it jumped up a kerb u jumped too, lol leap frog, underarm tig/tag kiss catch, oh and running round with ur arms out playing at aeroplanes...
