Er.... I think we got carried away ...
A couple of hundred bikes set off from North Ferriby along the A63...Then on the M62...Then the M18...Then the M180....Then the A15 back over the Humber Bridge. That's @ 70 miles at 45mph, 50mph max. And Joe Public was waving at us all from all the overhead bridges, that was pretty good.
Great for the first half hour, then it got boring, but we were doing it for a reason, so that was OK.
Of course it rained on me for the last 3 miles home, lol.
Nice to meet Violetinferno in the car park before we all set off.
Just got back from Squires, rode up the A64 to The Highwayman Cafe.. easily 200-300 bikes there.
Some went onward, rest (200+) rode back to Squires....... Excellent ride, Police were good too.
Well Done to everyone that took part!
Let's hope the EU will sit up and take notice!
I've added a few photos to the events.
So much for inside lane @ 45mph. We blocked the whole of the M56 to J10 at 20-30mph and then back on W/B carriageway. P*ssed off quite a few drivers including a septic in a winnie that tried to side-swipe a few bikes but most were actually quite supportive. The plod seemed quite amused by it all. Love to know what the final tally was....
Glad i got off my ass and took part! Did the squires to ferrybridge ride with 5 others, and met the ladies, yid, and xk at squires too who were doing the highwayman run. Well done to all!
A cracking ride from Highwayman A64. Police were efficient and riders couldn't be faulted. A few photos from bridges and cars that passed us got a good look at XK's placard balanced under me arm !! So the message will have got across to some :>> Lets hope it gets good media coverage. A great day meeting BMers too
I was at the ripley services A3 good turn out and the sun shone held the traffic up a bit and hopefilly the point has been made lets hope the EU will dsit up and listen to the people's voice. Long live the bikers
Bloomin amazing turnout in South Cumbria - dunno how many but heck of a lot of bikes and what an impressive ride in lovely weather. Fab thrill for me riding along with the big boys and girls....loved it!Two river esturies then across to Devil's Bridge. No chance whatsoever of brew at the van today! The police were great today. Really hope us all riding together gets the message across
Did the Highwayman run to Squires with Yid and some 200 other bikers, added 3 pics to the Events page to show the desired effect our group had on the road
