I'm sad that i'll be missing the cafe run due to work, but glad that i'm working so i don't want to see men rolling around in mud together trying to get their hands on someone else ball,
Now Women rolling about in mud yes please i'd book a day off to watch that.
If its not raining,we wil be at the cafe.
The cafe crawl involves 7cafes to visit in a day!
However it looks like you lot wanna go watch the footy or rugby?
Noo probs. Lets see wat the morning weather brings..if its rain then I'll be in the loft boarding it out..in the warm n dry
if it's dry will see you at the cafe, but i will be watching england v wales in the afternoon, at brentwood if my satnav gets me there. Isn't it just past the third burnt out fiesta on the right? I could always grunt at a local to get directions if i'm lost. Let me know what time you are meeting. Andy couldn't we do 5 cafes and a pub?
Ok, cafe meet is ON, not raining here in Ashford! Lets chance the weather. The cafe crawlwas planned for all day but as weather not promising we can do just a couple perhaps? On our way..breki bekons..who gonna wash the Calli later though..
Well it was raining by the time I got the ready to leave Ashford..
I took the A20 route to try and avoid the big trucks which throw up so much shite and make the rain seem so much worse. The cafe was pretty busy considering the weather and there was a table full of BM members One huge breki later and an extra cuppa we ventured out to the Maidstone Harley dealership where I knew we would find a warm showroom with comfy chairs and plenty to amuse us. |We then went to Heine Gerike Maidstone where Sam made us a hot drink and we spent a little money, thanks Sam.
After about an hour we left for Laguna Maidstone to try and spend some more £s.
A good day despite the weather.
Oh , I got to clean the Calli and kit,.
It wasn't as wet as I'd feared and temp only went down to 5.5 degrees C. My new gloves from Laguna kept fingers toasty on way home, and my new handlebar bag from Hein Gericke is now fitted. Thankfully I resisted at The Harley dealer. Could've used some of the branded Gaffer tape they had though when a Harley rider who'd come to pick up his bike decided not to as "it'd be suicidal to take it out in this!" according to him. Luckily Triumphs, Yamahas and even Guzzis don't kill you if you get them wet
omg was it wet. the rain was teeming down from start to finish, i think my jacket soaked up so much water i weighed a stone extra (or was that the breakfast). and cold, i had ice forming on the inside of my visor it was that cold. my fingers were blue and my beard frozen solid. i did learn something from the harley showroom though. if you leave your motorcycle on it's jiffy (side) stand on a concrete floor without using a jiffy stand coaster (puck) it will drain your battery, honest it said so in some literature i found in the showroom trying to sell bike accessories. although neither the salesman or a technician could explain why. odd that. i did post a photo from the harley dealer showing how much fun we were having though.
I used to work at a motor factors, batteries left on concrete do go flat,I have no idea why though! Put them on wood or steel shelves and they keep their charge,no doubt someone here will have a scientific reason why.
