Just a quick bump...

Any update on the potential 3rd site yet? I'd feel much happier if I could get all the bookings done before it's too late

Aye XK, need to make your own bookings for this one.
Hence why I bumped it for confirmation on the last site. Can't leave it too late to get a pitch that time of year.

The sites to be booked on the Events calendar still say Applecross. Please can this be updated to avoid any confusion.

I've asked Sandi to update the events page, to avoid confusion - i'm sure it'll be done as soon as possible. That's why I put full details on this thread until it's altered. If any confusion is caused in the mean time, my apologises.

Ignore the post below - just seen Minnie The Minx's separate thread on the same topic. See what happens when you have been away from the site for a while!! Just a tip for anyone camping in Ballachulish... from my experience of years of camping in the area when mountaineering (in my yoof) I would suggest you take some midge repellent. I used to use Deet which while working quite well, also smells quite strong, stings your eyes and eats your clothing but have found that Avon's Skin So Soft is actually much more user friendly and very effective! It is used by the Forestry workers and I noted that when I popped into the village store in Ballachulish last year that they had bottles of the stuff for sale behind the counter.

Thanks for the thought TeeCee - Skin so Soft mixed with a little Patuli oil is great as well. As Fort William and Glencoe are so close, why bother with FW as it's £13 a night, compared to G at £9 a night? And has camping at the Stratharon Hotel def been kicked into touch?

Lionfish - I am taking my time going up off motorways.
I booked Applecross but appears I must now cancel it so will start afresh tomorrow. I assume it's the list a couple of pages back (and no 2 doesn't need to be booked - I did phone them before I went away and they did confirm no booking required) Sorry - been away at TT and have returned to find 3 - 4 extra pages of change/discussion Lol!!
