UNITY!.. Could it ever be achieved in a nation of nations?.. Some may lose their identity, others are kept hidden and not made known.. Who is actually running this country? I'm not convinced its the clowns in Parliament.. Long live the Queen (depite her faults) and her family.. especially our William & Harry.. the true life-line of British Royalty.

Nah ... were all prawns in the game GB PLC is a FACT I feel sorry for the Royals in a way (accident of birth and all that) They're not even the REAL Royals, totally fake Drafted in to fill a gap in succession ! But Betty Windsor owns most of the land "personally" and what she doesn't own the Church owns (which she is head of too) or the Duke o westminster.......... On second thoughts....... no don't get me started.......................... Robber Barons.....they're all descended from Robber Barons Billy the Conquerers mob If the Royals thought anything of their subjects They would have stood up for us and seen FAIR play Instead they abdicate responsibility and hide behind a sham they call parliament HAPPY JUBILEE WEEKEND PEEPS PARTY ON & ON & ON and forget all about it and be swept along by tide of euphoria

Ruling the country was taken away from the royal family by the Parliamanterians (Cromwell and all that). The Royals do a good job, a job I would not wish on anyone. people moan about the cost of them to us, but by conparison it is very little compared to many other things forced upon us. The Normans brought a lot to this country. Prior to William the 1st, we had Saxon kings and barons, it was no different appart from being less organised. We who call ourselves English, Scotish, Welsh, Irish or British are a mixture of many nationalities, due to the various invasions over the centuries and subsequent inter breading. That is what now makes us British and I am proud to be part of that. This is not refering to the influx of any imigrants. That is a seperate issue, to which we all have our own view on. Am I a Royalist? Yes definately and proud to be one. Have I been hood winked? No, I form my own opinions. If you are not a Royalist, then fair enough. But what is your identity?

Fair point David It was a bit of a "middle of the night early morning rant" Although there is whole nuther argument debate regarding the Magna Carta and its convoluted connotations ! (good program on Radio 4 earlier this week about that) But I'm far from satisfied with my level of representatoin/interaction with the "powers that be" whoever they are ? As for my identity ?????? I struggle with that almost daily Some days I'm convinced that I'm a "freeman" Other days I feel like I'm trapped in a "system" As posted above, ostensibly I've no real beef with the Royals "accident of birth etc" and in the past I've taken the "oath" to Her Majesty more than once Cubs, Scouts and Forces Equivalent to "The Kings Shilling" So although I don't feel a total hypocrite, I am in a constant state of flux regarding their privelidged lives and my meagre existence My identityis a mystery to me and many others ? So as I'm fond of saying..... FREE SPEECH ONE EACH

Lmao........ I always thought the shoe thing a bit bizarre ! As for the booze adverts I reckon it's a cunning ploy to get peeps headed down to the nearest 24hr supermarket !! lol

It's been in the "pipeline", sic, for a while now but due to "external" factors (according to OPEC) the world market was in a state of "flux" Which is corporate speak for "We've MILKED it for as long as we could get away with it" The IMF and the World Bank have told OPEC that high fuel prices are restricting recovery Globally so prices must come down to stimulate growth A very wet 4 day bank holiday caused a drop in demand at fuel stations, depots and refineries so to move stocks "price war" If you could buy an ELECTRIC bike with the SAME performance as your current machine for the same money WOULD you ?
