I know what Buzz means, Some schools can be very bad, a school i did work at had a contract with a big pizza company to do a secord road ride with their riders and we looked at their cbt's, it was not unkown to see some people signed off before midday from some schools that couldn't be arsed if the student english was bad. We had the dsa in today for an assessment for a instructor and my boss doesn't fix a easy cbt, there was 8 students on it, with the secord instructor there as a dogsbody and to keep it legal.

How the hell can it brake the law to check that the centers training is being done correctly and to required standard. You can bet its not braking the law in france to check on training centers

I'd be up for this I had my CBT before but after only 3 months on the road and on a bend, my Ex hit my back wheel and took me off........I'm worried that I may be one of the people who fall behind, as I have some demons to get rid of first!! I'd be happy to car share!!!

It was Kevin Parsons. He seems to be the only one who comes to us. The last time i saw Greg was about 3 years ago and i heard he was now covering the South West.

@jp The bit i was talking about "to keep it legal" was it's one instructor for every 4 students, so 5 to 8 students there must be at least 2 instuctors on site.

Ragnar, I think JP was referring to the Law Concerning no "spot inspections"

Yes emzed there should be no law to stop on the spot inspections or sending in a rider for training

cbt has run out which I didn't mind as I felt I'd never ride again.......but over the last few months I've been thinking about taking some lessons to see if I still felt that way!!

hi elliemay sorry for slow responce but ive been at brands all weekend . we have no definate dates yet im afraid . The uptake has been quiet slow mainly due to the distances most ppl have to travel . i know your only 2 and a half hours from me . so this should be good for you . im really hoping to get 10 takers before we make this a going concern . buzz

If it's any help ladies: sometime in september/october I am going to Greenwich for a weekend to spend saturday looking over the Cutty Sark.It would not be too far out of my way to swing by Benfleet and drop you off on my way in & out. I plan on leaving about 2.00p.m Friday and can do a few miles picking up (if any ladies from oop north want to go I could pick you up from Birmingham New Street station),so long as I get to my hotel by 10.30 I'll be fine. Would leave hotel about 10.30 a.m sunday,up to Benfleet then, when you are ready, back home. I used to be Taxi driver,no money required for trip(that hire and reward, invalidates insurance) a coffee and bacon butty would go down a bomb though!! I have not booked yet so entirely flexible when it suits most of you(one weekend in september is out,Friskney).

When I took my test it was on an Enfield Continental GT,3 weeks after my 16th birthday, examiner was on foot trying to scoot down an alleyway to watch me on islands, outside a school and emergency stop. It was a piece of cake compared to now.Thought about instucting 8 years ago but failed hazard awareness twice!! clicking too early, apparently a ball in road ain't an hazard till the kid runs off pavement to pick it up,I'D HATE TO TAKE MY TEST NOW and would probably fail.
