Anyone
else paid up/booked ? I need to start looking at booking Germany hotel
so need numbers and special requests. Couples are in doubles and there
are twin rooms but both are 35 euros ahead
If your not fussed
then you can go in one of the bigger rooms for 25 euros and these rooms
have just been completely redone in last few weeks
Boring insurance question... Like most, I'm not covered for race tracks. Do I: (a.) get something in place in the UK, (b.) get cover at N'ring or (c.) just get on with it, without cover?
My son has shown me how to test ride the N'ring, on a Speed Triple, on his xBox 360.... looking forward to seeing how realistic it is!

You can buy Ins here for it or phone your provider and ask see what they say.
If you do have an accident there (As I have) you will pay for track closure time. ADAC removal and price for any damage/clean up needed also.
One guy crashed and got a £30,000+ bill so while you won't get that much worth a note they have a price list they tick off that makes you pay for EVERYTHING
You will also get a speeding ticket if you crash (about 75 euros)
What i do is I go round at a fast pace and happy done it rather than a time. If you want to race there they rekon takes 20 - 30 laps to learn it first
Thanks for the insurance info Chris - glad I asked. I'll call Carol Nash and see what they say. On a Speed Triple, my preference is to be fast and in control rather than go for any records ... I get the impression that it's not the widest strip of Tarmac in parts.
Finding on board footage of people going round the Nurburgring on YouTube quite interesting / informative - both for the circuit itself and the etiquette / procedures in place for vehicles travelling at different speeds...
Just had a message from hotel that they cannot now do Sunday 28 April and also Friday 3rd
So trying to find alternatives but with 14 folk not easy, open to suggestions guys ?
Don't get me wrong will get it sorted but now got two free days but open to taking you elsewhere also. If it wasn't a bit further just take you to South of France and I'd do two runs there this year (as it's worth it)
Open forum and sorry this was nothing that could of been foreseen so be nice lol
Hi Chris. So we're talking the first day and last at Altenahr... No prob with me to stay somewhere else (appreciate that's easier said than done to organise) both of those - so long as Altenahr confirms the other days and don't do this again with any other dates. Don't mind staying somewhere else for whole week if that's easier for you. My preference would be to keep this trip German / based near the Nurburgring if possible. Thanks Chris
Appreciate everything you're doing, and the main thing is the craic of being with a few like minded bikers for a week in Eurpoe, so if we don't wind up at The Ring, then maybe we can do Spa instead (I'm kidding). Whatever works....
