Hi Folks, is it ok for me to join the party? I was gonna go to "No Bull" rally but have to be in Scarboro' for a few days, so will probably go up on bike and then over to Squires for Saturday night.

Bungees are OK Alli But I'd suggest some lightweight ratchet or locking straps They don't have any "give" in them when they are tight So there's less tendency for your "load" to bounce about

I've been using this type of strap for years Strong enough for most bike luggage/camping gear I used 2 to strap a bike onto a sidecar chassis I rode from Scarborough to Rotherham and the bike never moved a millimetre http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Metal-Cam-Buckle-Tie-Down-Strong-Nylon-Quick-Lock-Strap-Luggage-Cargo-Lash-Belt-/271206849525?pt=UK_Tickets_Travel_Luggage_CA&hash=item3f25301bf5 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Set-of-2-x-2-5-m-Med-Canoe-Webbing-tie-down-Straps-/180699641472?pt=UK_Tickets_Travel_Luggage_CA&var=&hash=item2a1289b680 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Set-2-x-1-5-m-Med-Luggage-tie...19d7776a5d

Neil perhaps you would be kind enough to post about those straps in the 'Bikes, Products and Services' forum? Sounds like they are a good product and folk won't know to look in here for the info'.
I've not heard of them before.
