There
was a man who worked for the Post Office whose job it was to process all the
mail that had illegible addresses. One day, a letter came addressed in a
shaky handwriting to God with no actual address. He thought he should open it
to see what it was about. The letter read:
"Dear God, I am an 83 year old
widow, living on a very small pension. Yesterday someone stole my purse. It
had $100 in it, which was all the money I had until my next pension
check.
Next Sunday is Christmas, and I had invited two of my friends over
for dinner.
Without that money, I have nothing to buy food with. I
have no family to turn to, and you are my only hope. Can you please help
me?
Sincerely,
Edna
The postal worker was touched. He
showed the letter to all the other workers. Each one dug into his or her
wallet and came up with a few dollars. By the time he made the rounds, he had
collected $96, which they put into an envelope and sent to the woman. The
rest of the day, all the workers felt a warm glow thinking of Edna and the
dinner she would be able to share with her friends.
Christmas came and
went. A few days later, another letter came from the same old lady to God.
All the workers gathered around while the letter was opened.
It
read,
"Dear God, How can I ever thank you enough for what you did for
me? Because of your gift of love, I was able to fix a glorious dinner for
my friends. We had a very nice day and I told my friends of your
wonderful gift. By the way, there was $4 missing.
I think it must have
been those b'stards at the Post Office.
Would an atheist bus driver refuse to drive a bus carrying a pro-God message?
No, of course not, because he has more sense.
(which is why he is an atheist).
Wannabe shame on you!!

Attenborough gets hate mail from viewers

Sir David Attenborough has revealed that he gets hate mail from viewers for not crediting God in his documentaries.
The veteran broadcaster, who is presenting a new series on Charles Darwin, said that he has received letters telling him to burn in hell because of his views on evolution.
He told Radio Times that he is often asked why he does not credit God when talking about some of the creatures featured on his shows: "They always mean beautiful things like hummingbirds. I always reply by saying that I think of a little child in east Africa with a worm burrowing through his eyeball.
"The worm cannot live in any other way, except by burrowing through eyeballs. I find that hard to reconcile with the notion of a divine and benevolent creator."
He also revealed that he doesn't think creationism should be taught alongside evolution in schools and added: "It's like saying that two and two equals four, but if you wish to believe it, it could also be five.
"Evolution is not a theory; it is a fact, every bit as much as the historical fact that William the Conqueror landed in 1066."
I prefer the "old religion" pre christianity paganism, wicca if you like. it's simple, gentle, nothing to do with devil worship and the like. It was the Christians who invented "the devil" when they noticed the pagans worshiping a horned god, this was in fact "the green man" or" Herne".The horns on his head were the "cornucopia, the horn of plenty",and the pagans worshipped Herne to ensure a plentiful harvest , to ensure that the seasons continued to change. Wicca is a goddess religion, and gaia and herne walked the earth in harmony, but of course Christianity is not female friendly,so this was another reason to criminalise it. satanism is something completely different ,it is the worhip of the so called devil, again created by Christians to discredit the pagans A witch is simply a wise woman, who has knowledge of herbs, and their healing properties, the Christians couldn't understand how such women could heal people with their "hocus pocus"and shunned them because they were frightened! hence the wicked witch"
I think you all get my drift, sorry to waffle on! I'll shut up now
