lol @ u two!! nowt like gangin up ! ok ..ok i will try mi bestest to get there by bike ..
Nina.. an hours ride over eh? hmmmmm shud be able to manage that then :o)
Stop for breaks? From Barnsley to Squires?
Hardly seems worth bothering! It's only twenty miles for gawd sakes lol! I've cycled further without a break.
Me and Herne need to get you women sorted, we really do.
When are you two thinking of this little jaunt to Squires? You'll need to pass Pontefract so if you don't mind me inviting myself along, I could come too.
You could have your break when you stop to pick me up and then it's not really a break at all.
lol... woooohooooo the more the merrier.. do u think we will need to take our tents? just in case we get snowed in/break down/run outta petrol/ etc?
Has anyone got a satnav for bikes?
haha... seriously tho.. as soon as i can get my bike over this end, im more than up for a few ride outs wiv u lot!
oooohhh gettin giddy now!! hehehe
Whats the best day/evening to go...ie when its not packed!!! lol
Ooops sorry, Stella, clicked on your profile by accident!
Lmao at your "me me me too" By eck lass, it's must be double the distance for you to get there...you will need a break, lucky you, you have two, ermmmm, necessary stops (not breaks at all).
Kaz, we don't *run out of petrol*. You were obviously just very unlucky that your bike's previous owner had just completed Land's End to John O'Groats (and back) and hadn't refilled for you!
Well I don't know when it starts getting busy again. I've been a few Wednesdays over winter and it's been dead or just a few cars.
Well I can do pretty much anytime apart from Mondays. How about jumping in at the deep end and saying tomorrow!
yeah it would be double the distance, but that's no probs, however I'd need an escort over to Barnsley to meet up with Kaz & Nina.....I can work on that one!!!
lol - 'necessary stops' - do they have portaloos on the way???
Kaz - I've just bought my 'ickle girl a satnav - thought I'd treat her to a shiny new prezzy to see if that makes her behave a bit better for me - you know what it's like with kids - bribe them & they ususally behave
I might ride to Barnsley too otherwise my ride is all of 15 mins!
Is a weekend better otherwise we'd need to think about riding back in the dark and I haven't figured out how to bungee a torch to my lid yet!
Rode my bike to my house in the dark last to discover my headlight had blown. So dipped the lamp and rode with main beam on...like you could tell!!! LOL!
Oooh Stella, which one? Nice one, now we all know who to follow!
lol.. yeh Rachel... i reckon you're right! of course i don't 'run out of petrol'
heheh..nice one Stella... did you get her cable sorted?
Not sure i could do tomorrow, as I don't have my bike here. Am in the process of gettin it over this end, so will let you know.
As anybody will tell you, my sense of direction is crap, so as to where we could all meet along the way, i have no idea!? lol sure we can find a convenient meeting point or two tho.
Geoff...dunt feel left out... u can be the outrider lol
must admit - I wouldn't feel too good riding in the dark at the moment - got a TomTom Rider (was cheaper than the Garmin!!) just have to figure out how to get it onto the bike & then get it wired up to the battery & then how to use it
hey Geoff - you can be our chapperone!
yep a weekend would probably be better..maybe I can get Mr P to come over from Glossop, collect me & then we pootle over to Barnsley to collect Nina, Kaz & then you. Geoff can ride shotgun?
No problems here with a weekend pootle. Stella, I'll accompany you if you like... We can pick up others on the way, and I'll bring the Nav. (Anyone remember "Convoy" ?)
If this is going to happen though can we:
- Remove all side stands before they are left down
- Have a mobile bike shop for blown bulbs, duff cables, new tyres etc.
- Organise BP to provide a fuel tanker escort
- Arrange crash bars for all
- Portaloos at 50mtr intervals
- No steep hills/off cambers
- 24hrs daylight
... erm ... Have I remembered everything?
