The Idea is this. Meeting at the Dog Pub On the A435 Just on the edge of redditch at about 11:00 or a bit later if you wish. through studley to Alcester. Taking the old road down to evesham then onto pershore and across to Upton on severn. It will take about 50 mins. Returning Via Worcester and the A422 to Alcester. total travel tine about 1.40 mins.
There are a couple of pubs by the river in upton one of which ( the Star) does a carvery. priced at £7.45. They start lunch at 12:00 untill 02:30
