how about a few days in N Ireland guys watch some proper road racing (Nationals - not the NW200) a few beers, great craic and the best biking roads in these islands free of speed cameras and ignorant cops!
If anyone else is interested in American cars like I am, Billing Aquadrome host a few shows during the year and maybe the Spring or Summer Nationals would be a good day out. All sorts of American muscle cars, loads of stalls, fair and arcades etc., food and camping if you want to but would probably need to book in advance for that
you dont normaly need to book at billing ,, even for the nationals ,
if you want to see muscle cars go the mopar weekend at santa pod ,normaly 3rd weekend in july..
Some good ideas folks keep em coming and min dif your not sure who or wha the Events team are then scroll to bottom of the page and look at staff ....... if you dare lol
hi there rc .... theres also the americana at newark usually first week in july three day event with bands, cars, bikes and a load of other stuff american
Just got back from a lovely night out in a country pub in Low Bentham. The landlord is a biker and just taken the pub and is encouraging bikers. They have two fields (about 2 acres) that can be used for camping & happy to have a bonfire. And he WANTS a bike rally. Next to the bar there's a room with a dance floor & we could have a disco....there's errr also a karioke machine for any wannabe Lemmies. Low Bentham is a really pretty village don't know what shops there are there but the people in the pub were so friendly....definitely not the slaughtered lamb lol. It's about 10 miles south of Kirkby Lonsdale / Devil's Bridge so good for a run out into the Lakes (still got a bee in my bonnet about getting into the Lakes). Seems ideal for a weekend next summer. What do peeps think?
Sorry, being very northwest focussed. I should have added that Low Bentham is on the western Edge of the Yorkshire Dales for those who don't know the area....gorgeous, but I'm biased
