Thinking back to my life-changing epic ride up to Arran on my gorgeous suzuki 125 intruder
What an epic challenge and ooooh all those anxieties....I might drop the bike at a dodgy junction on a hill, or I might get blown to the side of the road by a freak gust of wind, I might get wiped out at a confusing roundabout, and oooh I've never had to cope with riding onto a ferry before....so many scary possibles
But, it was all ok and me and my travelling companions coped admirably. We stopped at the chippy right next to the exit from the ferry terminal to top up with a fish supper.
What I never factored in was choking on a haddock bone stuck in my throat....hahahaha
Lady luck is so wonderful. Thank goodness she made sure there were two paramedics scoffing their fish suppers parked up in their ambulance at the ferry terminal waiting for the ferry back to the mainland
Hahahaha....I'm still laughing about it although it was pretty damn scary at the time lol
Oh dear PB ......... lol .... but I do hope you get your car sorted. At least you made it to the loo without any disasters
And Margaret, I take my hat off to you ..... lesser mortals would not have been so brave thank god you survived the fish bone, how scary !!!!
(Glad Suzi posted in here, it saved me looking for the thread)
What made me laugh out loud? My new driving licence photo, I look like a rabbit caught in the headlights.
I quite like the new black and white photo tho, and it's not a close up photo so doesn't show any wrinkles.
I know how you feel PB mines still sat in the garage as it keeps throwing out different error codes
My pastie made it all the way from Devon, only to be eaten in the night by the dog, yeah... she did look pleased with herself and being banned to the dog bed made absolutely no difference, she still had a smug look on her face
I tried to do the MCN crossword, not much good, I don't know much about bikes.
One clue was 'A feather bed is a type of one'
When a friend of Nellie's picked up the paper (back at Nellie's house) he nearly wet himself with laughing when he read what I had put as my answer
'Futon'
Nellie called me a 'kin tit!'
I don't think futons are made with feathers, it's cotton wadding or something init? lol
You can get futons filled with feathers.. they are ridiculously comfortable if not a bit awkward to get out of with aged dodgey hips but lush nevertheless...
I wannnnnnna know what the real answer is.. perhaps they laughed to mask the fact they didn't have a clue themselves... Cunning that!
Unity Equipe in Rochdale used to make them for TT racers etc, don't know if it is still there, but it used to be like stepping back in time when you opened the door.
LTGTR and F G
I don't need to knit meself a new wig, I knew they were laffing at my answer being Futon instead of Frame.
(I just meant that even if the answer wasn't Frame it couldn't have been Futon, but RCL has explained Futons can be filled with feathers.)
