The event listing stated from the start that I wasn't sure which postcode it was for the cafe and that the postcode given may not be accurate. It's still a postcode for Rutland water so the right area, and then just look for the sign for Whitwell. People are making it more complicated than it really is. All that's changed is the cafe as I got the wrong carpark and there's no cafe there. People went to different parking areas last time but a quick ride from someone at the correct venue to check soon got everyone together in one place so not a major problem.
A few of us ventured out to Rutland Water last November in the fog and cold so is anyone interested in a return visit with "hopefully" better weather.
May Bank Holiday - Monday 7th meet at the cafe at Whitwell for 1.00 pm. Postcode LE15 8BL.
My route will be from Crowland via Market Deeping and Stamford if anyone wants to join me, and anyone travelling from other areas can hopefully bring a few others with them on their route.
I wasn't having a go at you for using the wrong postcode, honest. Rutland Water is on my doorstep so I know the area, but if peeps are travelling a long distance & don't know where they are going, it just helps to have the right postcode. If we all end up in the right place first time it means more time for drinking & eating & chatting instead of looking for any lost souls!!
