Hi All, I’m Pete from near Holmfirth and I’ve been riding bikes legally since 1979. I am currently on a BMW F750GS which was my son’s bike but he passed away on September 1st aged just 23 (not motorcycle related) so I owe it to him to ride his bike as he would have done. Watching his Go-Pro footage he was a bloody good rider! I used to be known as Mad Pete by my pals in the motorcycle club I belonged to in Stockport when my VFR750 would take on anything but I’m much more sedate these days. I’m married and looking for folk to join on ride outs. I’m used to a pillion so if you don’t have a bike you’re welcome to sit behind me.
Hi Pete, sorry to hear about the loss of your son, but happy to know you are using his bike. I to have an F750GS, which I bought in in memory of my partner after she passed away suddenly. It brings me joy when I ride it and I remember the great times we had together. I hope you get the same feeling when you ride yours.
Hi. Passed my test 1982 on a KH250. Went on to a GS550D, spent a few years off 2 & on 4 wheels, returned to 2 a few years back with an XV750, which got stolen. Replace it with a ZL600A, wasn't very taken with it & got an XV1100, which is abit tired now & in need of a rebuild, so the ZL600 is being brought back into play pending the refurb of a recently acquired EN500 for environmental/rising cost of fuel reasons.
