Probably.
But what people don't seem to realize is that, although electric vehicles are clean and so called environmentally friendly, it is a false situation. To charge the machine it requires electricity and most of our electricity still realize on fl euro carbon fuels being used at the power stations. There are some countries which are mainly hydro electric power, such as Norway, but the majority are not much different from the UK.
The other consideration is noise. Although the environmentalists would like the lack of noise pollution, the HSE types will not like the increase in pedestrian accidents, due to bikes not being heard.
Question:- So would a noise have to be introduced, if so what sort of noise?
Could it be a noise similar to your favourite bike?
Or a voice shouting "get outa the way you yuckers"
mmmm @ David's last comment
A lot of negatives in your reply David regarding power generation but to recharge a motorcycle, even a "large capacity" one would only consume a fraction of the power and attendant pollution compared to the fossil fuel consumed by conventional machines
However I have thought about the "noise question" and mooted the idea of a "selectable"soundtrack to "simulate" exhaust notes
You could ride a different bike every day
What would be your top 5 "soundtracks" for an electric bike ?
Don't have a TV
So I guess I'll just have to "suffer"
But you carry on Noddy, it obviously amuses you
But frankly I can and do think of better things to do in the daytime
My "Top 5 sound tracks"
Rocket 3 (original "Raygun silencers")

Velocette Venom
Matchless G50 on Megaphone
Hialwoods TT winning Ducati
Any more suggestions ?
