i know its not quite south but we was in South Wales this year and i organized a meet in Cornwall last year but we just dont seem to get many people to the meetings once we get to far south, but we know we will get around 50 or more from the midlands up
Sounds like a cop out i know but the Midlands is central for folk so as Bill says we do get a good turn out, but if you can suggest somewhere mid way from us to you then am sure we can sort something :)
Trouble is mid way down south from mids is a long way from scotland and we do get plenty of members come down to meets. As this meet is for maximum numbers we need to keep it central to all members.
There's nothing stopping our southern members arranging a meet in there neck of the woods and seeing what interest there is. If it's a day meet obviously people are more restricted to the mileage they will want to do than if it's a full weekend. Personally I wouldn't travel more than 350 mls return trip for a day. But would travel 800mls return trip for a weekend.
Sadly Vlad, those living in the South don't tend to join in as much as those in the Midlands, some of our members in the South have tried to organise events for their fellow members but with little or no interest shown.
