With things with dad being as they are at the moment I am unsure if we will make this ( but should do as it's 4 weeks off yet)

I told Jackie I will sort out the north west lot if you want me too :-) will give me something else to think about !

Thoese from across the hills in Yorkshire as bill suggested squires is a good place to meet up, then whoever is sorting it, if you go via Buxton we could mix the 2 groups :-)

Hello All, just chuck in my 2pennoth! Firstly, at the Farmyard I suggested a camping weekend in Matlock and a few were interested so it could easily be rolled into this one, if anyone still fancies it pm me and I'll start an additional thread. Can stay over at the Duke William on the Sat, plenty of late pubs in Matlock/Bath to entertain you, or if you fancy Fri as well and a change from Matlock there's a great band on at a real ale pub in Codnor see http://www.the-idle-hands.co.uk/index.htm). Fishpond in Bath do bands, usually on a Friday but tightarses beware, they charge entry. If anyone wants to camp but needs the back of their bike free to pilly on the Sunday, from what I gather it's a meet up in the Bath for that, so could drop camping gear off at my house beforehand (or leave it at the pub). If you want to camp and bring pilly to camp and can't fit both I have 'reserve' camping gear that you can borrow, or a big tent that will sleep 8 if you just want to bunk up. Secondly, regarding seaside - I'll go anytime, but only for a stop over if it's a trek, which Brean is. RC - have pm'd you! By the way, look forward to a rideout anytime but only pilly my kids - grown ups are too hard to handle!

Hang on a minute, with a comment like 'Its a day ride out not a camping weekend, if you guys want to sort that out on a different thread fill your boots :)' you can hardly have a go for me offering to do so JP Make your minds up BMers, do you want tangents on different threads or not? It's much easier to follow topics when they are...

should the pilly pay towards fuel costs ? just wondered as it came up before some where but i think its a fab idea this pilly ride out thing

All the pillies I know are more than willing to share costs Neil :) Thats something for the rider and pilly to decide ... as long as pillies dont EXPECT a free ride .... its cool :)

WheelyNealy @ 01/07/2010 21:07

Ahhhh ... didnt know that. Maybe a little clarification on that, esp for first time pillys etc ... dont know how you would go about it though Neil. Whoever I get a pilly/lift off, I ask the rider/driver.

Traditionally, the ride is free, tho the pilly often pays for the tea an sticky buns at the cafe stops.

There's no such thing as a free bun ....lol

I've always put something towards costs, whether it be petrol, food (or even rally tickets!) Always appreciative for a pilly :) Not sure if I'll be able to do this as the meet up point is not the easiest for me to get to, unless there's someone from my neck of the woods able to pick me up en route ?

SL put a lift required on the events page. There must be someone over your way
