Sorry to say, I am unable to attend this trip now. Have been made an offer that was too good to miss. Wishing you all a great adventure and look forward to a ride out in the future
About another week or so and I'll start getting this going and Pm you all about bookings. By second week of Feb you'll need to start booking biker loft in Belgium once I post the info. Also I'm still not convinced yet that the over night ferry will beat Dover for travel/cost.
The main thing is I need to book the hotel first week of Feb so will be looking for final numbers around then
Please can you add your names here and add yourselves to the event also
Dover to Dunkerque is the cheapest crossing I have found with Norfolkline, as we will be heading up to Matt's house... I guess it all depends on what part of the country everyone is heading from.
Please can you add your names here and add yourselves to the event also
It's the same price Bernie for everyone in Germany and I'll sort the digs out no probs
As for Bikerloft the cheapest is the dorm so be who ever is there not just us. You can pay for your own room and prices are there for that when it comes time to book

I prefer getting on the Dover ferry as it's a proper start to the holiday rather than a train. I also think for good few who have not been abroad on bike before it's nice to sail away from the white cliffs and watch as we sail into France.
As for the actual ferry crossing I like the meet up at the travel lodge the night before. It also allowed for us Northerners to get down with out having to worry about times.
Anyone is welcome to go across any way they like and i can provide where we will be on what dates. If I do Dover then I will book the local travel lodge for 28th for the ferry on 29th probably
1st week of Feb be looking into prices as said before, I'll not going from Hull if gonna charge close to £200 as i can do Germany return from Edinburgh via Dover for that including ferry/fuel.
The difference affects the Scots more than anyone as Dover is a hell of a run though
BM has a discount code organised by Matt why been hanging off until next week
Which is also why i don't know what the ferry price until then but being honest a lot of Pm's have said they prefer Dover. We don't all need to be on same ferry and want to keep it open so everyone gets to go where they are happy.
I'll not please everyone but the original idea was I'm doing this and people are welcome to come along
This also is down to Matt if he is fit enough to come on board after his operation on his back. If not then leaves a choice of trying to sort digs in Holland for street party or not. If not then we can have extra 2 days touring in Germany but that can also be a group choice.
One thing to keep in mind folks it's gonna be a riot regardless of where we end up
Chris,me and Kim are as jelous as hell,we'd love to come but at the mo it's just not possible. Mind you, theres a couple of months yet so you never know!
All you others, you'll have a great time, the digs in Altenahr are great, comfortable beds and great food. The rack of ribs comes thoroughly reccomended!
Madscots 10/10 for organising this its something I have always wanted to do.....Dover is fine by me realy looking forward to it & hoping Matt will be fit & well!
