Can I ask a question?

What happens to the profit that will most likely be made??

So let me get this right ......

Which events?

Will money be given to the other event organisers to pay for those??? Even though they are already asking for money to cover costs? For example £4 for the Roaches, will that be then made free???

Who decides which events are going to be supported by this money?

And if for example, we aren't going to the KISS event, are we entitled to a freebie at another event

Will we be told how much profit will be made?

Who keeps the money, i.e. who's account does the money sit in?

Likewise T shirt profit?

It should be made clear how much profit is made and it should be given to a charity

Shadow, why would those who don't attend be entitled to anything? Surely those who pay for their ticket should be the ones to benefit at other events, not those who haven't. However I agree with you, any profit made, on tickets and t shirts, should be donated to charities; that way there's no argument about which event it should go towards.

Shadowfax what makes you think there is going to be any substantial profit, as its only £10 a ticket? Which gets your camping fee, 2 bands, DJ fee, catering wagon, skip hire, prizes, hi viz jackets, banners and signage, first aid kits, sound equipment hire etc. As well as Paypal fees for every transaction made. All funds are held in a designated bank account used solely for the rally.

As for the tshirts the price you pay is the price we pay.

If you think we are doing this purely to make money then were obviously not very good at it, maybe you should organise one yourself instead of questioning our motives and integrity for an event your not even attending. Maybe next time you attend a bike rally you'll go on a bike not in the car!!!!

For the record myself, JP and Vanessa have spent huge amounts of our time and own money organising this event for folk off here to enjoy and yes we will be reimbursed for it as i dont see why we should be out of pocket, as we have all been in the past including last years xmas party and other stuff we have organised. Out of interest what have you organised ?

Would you ask the Satan Slaves through your car window what they did with any profit ???

As the organisers we will make the decision what happens to any profit, if there is any, if folk are not happy with that then i suggest they speak to me personally when they see me.

SF... the event also isn't making money from food/drinks at the event, it's all being sold by the venue.... who are even charging us to use their venue!!! So the money paid in tickets covers what they're asking us for the venue etc. If it's successful then maybe next year we do it somewhere else, sell our own beer etc and don't have to charge for tickets then - you never know. We're all learning as we go along here.

Well said Jackie events I organize usualy cost me which I have no complaint about but do wounder if its worth it when I se people having a go at other organizers. The rally should make a profit, if not you'v got it wrong. The money should then be used to put on a rally next year which should make a larger profit, Eventualy there should be enough so members don't have to lay out there own money to put on the rally.

Bill as the organisers we made the decision that we were only interested in covering costs, rather than making a profit, which meant that we could keep the ticket price low.

To be honest i spend a lot of time and effort trying to organise events for folk all throughout the year and when you get somebody challenging your motives and intergrrity it does make you wonder why do i bother.
