At about 8am this morning, Isat in front of my pc with a coffee and a bowl of weetybangs only to read that Brian Johnson is stepping down as singer for AC/DC. Ok, thought I, he his getting on a bit, and might be feeling his age now. Imagine my amusement when reading further that his replacement is likely to be that denizon of modesty, axl rose! After I stopped choking and laughing at the same time, I picked myself up off the floor. I personally dont rate the ex guns and roses frontman, but I am wondering what anyone elses thoughts are on this?
He is not fit to grace the same stage as Angus. If Brian is finished my thoughts are.
As Angus is the only founder member left of ACDC its time to hang up the guitar's and leave the stage. Hurts to say this as a friend of mind has been standing in for Malcolm but without Brian that's it job done.
I saw something on FB earlier which put the axel rose thing in perspective. When Brian Johnson joined the band, Angus, Malcolm and Brian, all knew and understood that Bon was irreplacable and Brian admitted it would be hard filling those shoes. Without trying to imitate Bon, Brian put his own mark on the job, noticable when listening to the albums 'Highway to Hell and Back in Black', 2 entirely different styles but both very distinctive. axl rose has no singing talent unless his voice has first been polished in a recording studio, I know as I heard the band in an open air concert when I lived in Holland, I couldn't hear him because he was having one of his tantrums and allow the sound desk to turn his mike up. Personally, I think AC/DC have earned there place in rock history and should now sit back on their laurels and enjoy the fruits of their labours, before ruining their reputation trying to hold on until the bitter end. So now to the point, it was the idea that axl rose thinks he can step into the lead singers role after messers Scott and Johnson that made me laugh out loud.
There is 1 man who could do the job, Burtie he turned it down in the past and has one hell of a voice look up Vincent flats a local band from west midlands he also played in the Star fighters they supported ACDC way back on a uk tour. Now that would make me smile if he did do the job
Getting a pm from some Gahnaian offering me the chance of a lifetime. So I pm'd him back and am currently writing my letter of resignation to drop on my bosses desk in the morning. My share of 9 million dollars will be gratefully received. Looks like a tour of Canada and the US looming on the horizon.

I know it was wrong as there was L plates,.but as i was driving home i saw a couple of teenagers on a scooter together, the young girl was on the front and the lad sat behind her. I wasnt sure who was in control as he was leaning over with his hands on the handle bars too. I could hear them laughing with real delight and this made me laugh too, they were having so much fun. If i was young again would i like to be like that young girl?..maybe one day i was.....and thats what made me smile,and their pure enjoyment made me laugh.
It makes me hoot with much mirth when people post about the end of summer. Fercrisake, it is only the 2nd week of may, still spring time in reality. Nust because we have 3 days of sun followed by a bit of drizzle isnt the end of the world, it is typical British weather. We live in a temperate zone, not a tropical one.
