Just done my annual bike insurance renewal and, aware of the stories of £30k costs if you come off and they have to close the circuit, threw in the qustion of whether I can buy cover for The Ring. Initial answer was yes as I am not entering a race and it's a public road, even when I pointed out that the start/finish is part of the F1 circuit - so I asked for e-mail confirm. After checking, they said I won't in fact be covered, and they can't provide cover.
Chris - you mentioned that I can buy cover 'here' if my insurer can't help? Don't want to sound overly worried, but if someone is selling it at a reasonable price I'd like to buy some cover.
Thanks

You can buy a stand alone Ins for the "ring" as standard Ins companies will not pay out.
Nurburgring is a Toll road so part of the public highway but is not covered by your Ins. there has been a case of 30k bills but that was a car spinning down the road hit the arco barriers repeatedly.
I crashed and it cost me about £180 ish with further 35 euro fine for speeding
Absolutly no idea thort on predictive perhaps but nothing mad mat no idea mobile does jump about. a pain takes ages any message spelling allways probs. But yes it was u i meant and that cant be bad lol
Thanks stormtrouper but still thick of snow here in Leeds, I've been pricing up off road tyres for the bike just in case but got a few weeks yet though. See you soon matt lol

Bike You need all your docs (originals) on you Ins/breakdown to cover riding over there (i have mine through bike policy) make sure bike is serviced and low mileage tyres (plenty tread), My bike will be in garage next week for new tyres and a service which includes a full check. this means I know it's about 100% as I can make it before i go.
Riding over there Maps or sat nav (in case you lose the group) I pay fuel through cards and keep euros as a just in case Mobile numbers are swapped with me on ferry make sure said mobile works abroad, if unsure call your provider (a must) ride on right first time bikers abroad are best as close to front as possible bikers with unfaired/semi faired bikes are best also up front until away from coast due to side winds sometimes faster/bigger cc bikes to rear as they have to work hardest to keep up.
The main rule on my trips is if you have a problem come see me, it's not a problem unless you tell me
I carry air pump, tyre weld, puncture repair and a decent first aid kit that anyone can ask to use. I designate a rear end bike so that if your are in front of me or behind them your not my problem.
I kept 23 bikers together last year and we had a riot so must work
anything specific ? The gasmen will tell ya there is no hassles so the above is just guidelines
